The dynamic South African first turned heads when he demolished Kelly Slater in the 2005 Nova Schin Festival in Brazil and in doing so nearly changed the course of the world title race. Since then Logie has shown that he is an outstanding talent and deserves much higher standing than his 23rd placing in 2006 reflects. Expect the flashy goofy footer to turn on in 2007 when his competitive nose catches up with his freakish wave riding talent there will be few who could stand in his way.
